Meet the therapist

All people who turn to counseling begin their journey for different reasons and are searching for different answers. I believe this time can be filled with a variety of overwhelming emotions. I take it as my personal responsibility to ensure relief and comfort for my clients during this experience.

Counseling has an amazing healing power to ease one's mind even after just one session. I see a variety of clients for individual work, couple's counseling, and family counseling. There are many different types of counseling and the therapeutic process varies for each individual. As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist I have the privilege of working beside children, adolescents, and adults in difficult and often confusing times in their lives. My mission is to provide care and clarity for my clients while honoring values in a way that strengthens and improves their relationship with themselves and others.  

I have a Bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M in Psychology and Sociology and a Master’s of Arts in Counseling from St. Edward’s University. I completed my Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision at The University of Texas at San Antonio researching counseling competencies in working with the geriatric population. I see clients at my private practice and also make home visits to geriatric clients in long-term care facilities.
